Santa Sofia: between tradition and innovation in the world of wine

THE DIGITAL STORY OF SANTA SOFIA

Santa Sofia winery, with two centuries of history, is located in the suggestive ‘Valpolicella Classica’ area.

Headquartered in the historic Villa Santa Sofia, a UNESCO World Heritage Site designed by Andrea Palladio, the winery is a symbol of Italian wine excellence. Under the guidance of Luciano Begnoni and with the legacy of his father Giancarlo, today it exports 75% of its production, reaching 70 countries with fine wines such as Amarone and Valpolicella Classico Superiore.

In recent years, the company felt the need to strengthen its digital presence, to better tell its story and reach an increasingly wider and more diverse audience. In this context, Fabulab has committed to creating a social marketing strategy capable of enhancing the excellence of Santa Sofia.

WHAT WE ARE DOING

Our collaboration with Santa Sofia began with an in-depth strategic analysis. We studied the market, the main competitors, the social trends and, of course, the company and its products.

The goal was to outline a strategy that on one hand would enhance the strengths and brand values, and on the other will build constant communication with customers and potential customers, through a continuous narration of the winery’s activities and of its wines.

The history and style of Santa Sofia deserved to be told through high quality and engaging images. For this reason, we designed a graphic project that reflected the historical identity and excellence of the winery products, using visual elements that evoked the unique atmosphere of Villa Santa Sofia and its historic cellars.

Following the analysis and in agreement with the company, to reach new customers and consolidate the relationship with all the existing ones we chose Facebook and Instagram. The editorial calendar alternates posts dedicated to the winery, the characteristics of the wines, the people who are part of Santa Sofia, events and tastings.

Our copywriting team works to create content that not only tell the story of the wines, but that is able to convey the passion that characterizes Santa Sofia.

The description mostly accompany photos and videos, made in specific shootings, in which we take care of:
